The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is working on rationalizing the syllabus to compensate for the academic loss from the Kovid-19 epidemic. Board President Manoj Ahuja said on Friday that the reduced syllabus will be ready in a month according to the short session.

“We cannot make a sudden change in the education system,” he said during a virtual conference organized by Ashoka University on the future of schools. This can lead to confusion and uncertainty. Curriculum improvements are in sync with learning outcomes. We are rationalizing the curriculum.

Our plan is to maintain the core elements, which are very unnecessary in terms of learning outcomes.
He said that the Ministry of Human Resource Development had suggested some measures to compensate for the loss of education caused by the lockdown. The academic session has been shortened. The curriculum is being changed according to this session. Hopefully, the reduced syllabus will be ready in a month.
